of the National Science Education Leadership Association (NSELA)

education leadership, to build a community of science education

UNC-CH Center for Mathematics and Science Education is one of eleven
sites across the state of North Carolina that offers continuing
teacher education through courses and workshops.

Center for Science, Mathematics, and Technology Education at ECU
provides professional development for teachers in 26 counties in
the East and collaborates with other Centers in MSEN on statewide
projects.

School of Education at UNC Chapel Hill confronts a new landscape

culturally and educationally diverse. Using children as its center
the work of the School of Education revolves around connecting with
many constituents on common ground to enhance all of the lives of

Science House is a learning outreach project of NC State University.
Its mission is to encourage students to choose scienceand mathematics
related fields of study. The Science House works in partnership
with K-12 teachers to increase the use and impact of hands-on learning
activities and educational technologies in mathematics and science.
The Science House offers dynamic science demonstration programs,
teacher professional development, and innovative school technological
support projects.

Project
WET (Water Education for Teachers) is an interdisciplinary water
education program intended to supplement a school's existing curriculum.
The goal of Project WET is to facilitate and promote the awareness,
appreciation, knowledge and stewardship of water resources through
the development and dissemination of classroom ready teaching aids
and through the establishment of state sponsored Project WET programs. |
