Fall 2002 NCSLA Meeting
The fall membership
meetingwas held Wednesday, November 13, 2002 at the Koury Convention
Center in Greensboro, NC. The general meeting was held from 1:00 - 4:00
with a break sponsored by Delta Education. The reception, sponsored
by Glencoe/McGraw-Hill began at 5:30 pm with dinner, sponsored by Vernier
Software and Technology, at 6:30 pm. The Gatling award was given to
Peggy Holliday.
The general meeting
of the NCSLA membership on the afternoon of November 13 promises to
provide an informative and spirited exchange on the intentions of the
No Child Left Behind legislation and the actual impacts on our
state. Mike Kestner (NCDPI/Math/Science Section Chief) and Jeff Gagne
(Senior Policy Analyst for SERVE) will debate the issue. In addition
we will discuss the inauguration of the E-Mentoring program to connect
expert and novice teachers via e-mail.
