2003 NCSLA Meeting
The fall
membership meeting for NCSLA was held Wednesday, November 12, 2003,
at the Koury Convention Center in Greensboro.
The Membership
Meeting was held during the afternoon and the main topic of the meeting
was the process for adoption of text books and curriculum in North Carolina.
Bill Tucci discussed textbook and curriculum and Lou Fabrizio spoke
on the implications of science testing and No Child Left Behind.
A Reception
sponsored by Glencoe McGraw-Hill was held followed by Dinner sponsored
by Fisher Scientific. The dinner speakers were Brenda Wojnowski of the
National Inventors Hall of Fame and Carr Thompson of the Burroughs Wellcome
Fund.
