NCSLA “Sciencespiration and Innovation Expo” Spring Meeting

The North Carolina Science Leadership Association Spring Professional Development Institute and Meeting was held on Saturday, April 18th, 2015 in Cary, North Carolina at the Embassy Suites. The purpose of the meeting was to introduce innovative science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) approaches and programs to science leaders within North Carolina. Twenty-one leaders from K-12, industry, university, nonprofit, and informal education backgrounds shared their experiences, research, programs, and resources employed to promote STEM education for workforce development.  

Four leaders: Elizabeth Baird (North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences) Shawn Moore (East Carolina University), Scott Gartlan (Charlottes Teachers Institute) and Rob Dunn (North Carolina State University) presented captivating speeches covering the following topics:
