Neil Pifer serves as President of the NCSLA Board of Directors. Neil been a passionate science educator in NC for 28 years. In addition to being the current K-12 Science Specialist in Cabarrus County Schools, Neil is an avid curler with his wife Anne of 28 years. I am proud to serve such a dynamic professional organization and this amazing group of science education leaders!

Dr. Christi Whitworth, a longtime informal STEM educator and statewide science‑education leader based in Asheville is our Executive Director. In her work, she blends hands‑on teaching experience with research in citizen science, AI, and game‑based learning to strengthen STEM learning for all students.
