Any committee is only as good as the most knowledgeable, determined, and vigorous person on it. There must be somebody who provides the flame.

While there is a President’s Chain, a Board of Directors, and an Executive Director to provide guidance and leadership for NCSLA, the heart of our organization resides in the work accomplished by our many committee members. Whether it is planning events, growing membership, writing the newsletter, or advocating for science education for all, the committee chairs and their members are the ones who make NCSLA a viable organization.
How to Apply
NCSLA has revamped the committee selection process to give its members more opportunities to be actively involved in the work of NCSLA to promote science education leadership in North Carolina. NCSLA has moved to an online committee application process. We encourage you to apply.
Any current member of NCSLA is eligible to be on a committee; applications are due by midnight on December 15.
The President-Elect will then select and notify new committee members by January 15th.
Terms of membership on a committee will be three years, and new members will begin their terms on June 1st.
If you are someone who is knowledgeable and enthusiastic about any of the committee positions, please consider applying for one or more committees. If you have questions contact Melaine Rickard.
