In June, we spent a couple days in our state capital learning the ins and outs of advocacy at all levels from your local school board to the state legislature.  We had current school board members, professional lobbyists, and state senators and representatives share their knowledge and experiences to inform and prepare you to stand up for the education issues most important to you.

The workshop included a orientation webinar with some pre-work so you were prepared to hit the ground running.  Participants were eligible for 1.0 CEU (10 hours).

On the second day, we arranged meetings with legislators to put practice to action.
